The Marietta Kiwanis Foundation proudly presents the 9/11 Field of Flags, honoring every life lost on September 11, 2001.
Displayed every five years, this moving tribute has become one of the largest commemorative events in the nation. Throughout the event, the community is invited to participate in meaningful activities, including the Flag Parade, the placement of the flags, and the September 11 Memorial Service featuring the reading of the names of the 2,977 victims.
Join us as we remember, reflect, and honor the lives lost—and all those whose lives were forever changed. Together, we ensure that they will never be forgotten.

8:45AM-9:00AM –
Begin to gather for the Flag Parade at CW Matthews (if using shuttle service), located at 1672 Old 41 Hwy NW, Marietta, GA 30060. Shuttles will transport from CW Matthews to Grace Community Church (770 Kennesaw Avenue NW, Marietta, GA 30060). Shuttles will run from 8:45AM- 9:45AM. Shuttle service will end at 9:45AM to allow for road closure at 10AM for the parade.
RIDE SHARE IS ENCOURAGED directly to Grace Community Church.10:00 AM – Flag Parade: Processional from Grace Community Church to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park to place flags in the Field of Flags (approx. 1 mile).
